| | This recipe can be altered in many ways with different spices, herbs, vinegar and vegetables. It goes very well with fish, but is also nice with grilled meat, chicken, and vegetables - or simply as a dip for carrots and celery. The basic form of this sauce is simply - sour cream or thick yogurt, dried herbs and spices, possibly fresh herbs, possibly chopped vegetables. The variations are endless! This simple recipe with capers and pickles goes very well with fish - and ideally fresh dill would be added as well. 4 servings:
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp chopped pickeled capers
- tsp chopped pickles
- 1 finely chopped celery stalk (or cucumber would do nicely)
- juice of 1/4 lemon or lime
- 1/2 graded garlic clove
- fresh herbs
Spices:
- lemonpepper
- onion salt
- dried onion, dried garlic
- dried herbs (basil, thyme, oregono...)
- chili flakes
Mix all ingredients and let optimally sit for a few hours in the fridge before serving.
