Cons: the light color will not brown foods as well as a dark-colored pan. Conclusion: This is a nearly perfect baking pan. It doesn't scratch at all and because it is not non-stick you never have to worry about anything strange getting into your food. There is no reason why this should not last a lifetime. The aluminum construction is very strong and the high sides make this useful for many types of dishes, not just baking cakes or brownies. You could store ice cream or bake a casserole in it. A non-stick pan is sensitive to metal tools and will not last more than a few years at best, so this pan is a very good buy. In terms of the light color absorbing less energy than a dark pan, therefore browning slightly less, I don't think this is an issue. You can simply adjust your cooking time. I have found that adding 2-3 minutes to the recommended cooking time will solve this issue in most cases. If you want to save money in the long run and want a truly useful baking/storage pan then this is nearly perfect.
