Pros: The high sides are pefect for soup. Looks great, heavy. Large handles. Cons: We can't think of anything negative to say about this pot. Maybe price, and not every kitchen will need one. Conclusion: This is a very high-end piece of kitchen equipment., and really not everyone will need a pot like this. You don't really need a pot like this to make a soup, or stock but if you are into cooking then it is a wonderful piece. There is nothing negative to say about it. It is extremely durable, perfect heat distribution and holds enough to place a whole chicken in it to make stock. We just bought this piece last week and the first thing we tried was chicken soup. So far there are no complaints.
