Conclusion: Le Creuset makes excellent products that last a lifetime. Nothing better to make soups or use in the oven than a pot like this and at 4 1/2 quarts it is plenty big for a family of 4. There is not much you can't do with this pot. Stove or oven and they will last, so even if it is expensive you won't waste your money.
