Pros: Very useful tool. Either stick the immersion blender directly into a large pot, or blend in the plastic measuring cup. The attachment comes off easily which makes it simple to keep the blender clean. Cons: This blender is great for blending small amounts. If however, you're blending a large pot of soup and want a very smooth result, then it's easier to use a regular blender. This blender is made of plastic, we like the Cuisinart Immersion Blender that's made out of brushed chrome Conclusion: This type of blender is very useful to have on hand. It's easy to assemble, use and clean. Make sure though, unless you have a very tall, deep pot, to pour the content into the plastic measuring cup and blend it there. Otherwise, the blender have a tendency to splatter your soup or sauce everywhere. You will also get a finer blend if you utilize the measuring cup. The chopper attachment and plastic cup is also very useful for chopping smaller amounts or making pesto or dressing. A great tool to have on hand.
