The classic martini glass which has a long stem and then a smooth bowl that widens like a straight arrow from themartini glass center is a very versatile glass. Traditionally these glasses have 4 to 6 ounce bowls, however nowadays it has also become popular to make very large martini glasses. We prefer to stick with the traditional size since then it's easier to fill up the drink without having to make a double, and the drink will stay cool longer.

The martini glass was traditionally used for dry martinis, however this glass is perfect for any shaken and strained drinks. If you go out to restaurants and bars, you will most surely get a wide variety of drinks served in this glass, and why not: it's elegant and classic. Some drinks which are perfect to serve in this glass include the daiquiri, lemon drop, blue moon and manhattan. Also, if you don't have any margarita glasses, you could certainly serve your strained margaritas in martini glasses.
