This is a really good sloppy joe recipe we adapted from Tyler Florence. Basically the main idea is pretty simple and you can add additional flavors to get what you want. You can go a little spicier with chili powder or more cayenne pepper, or a little more tomatoey with a can of diced tomatoes. Method In a 12 inch skillet over medium-high heat olive oil and saute onions until soft. Add meat (beef, turkey...etc). Add salt & pepper and brown, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Add the ketchup, mustard, cayenne, brown sugar and tomato paste. Reduce the heat and simmer 10-12 minutes. Finish with a splash of red wine vinegar. Taste and season if necessary.
