This satisfying snack with cottage cheese, berries and walnuts, is a very simple thing to make when you don't feel like doing too much work. Of course you can alter this endlessly; simple use what you have on hand. Here we used fresh blackberries, but if you have other berries or fruits, that would work too. Just cut them up in uniform sizes and serve. Some fruits which go especially well with cottage cheese include oranges and grapefruits as well as strawberries and rasberries. Here we also used walnuts, but any kind of nuts you have on hand would work. Perhaps some sliced almonds or chopped up pistachios?

It's really such a simple bowl: a generous helping of cottage cheese (we prefer the full fat version, however you could of course use low or non fat but it wouldn't be as creamy and flavorful). Then put on a handful of berries or fruit and some broken up walnuts. Another thing that's nice to add if you have it around is some honey.

This is a great snack to enjoy for breakfast, dessert or any time of the day when you need a pick-me-up!
