Here comes another very expensive dish that's also extremely high in calories. There aren't that many ingredients, but each one count. Items such as chicken, butter (a relatively large amount), Marsala wine and Mascarpone cheese contribute to the calorie content. Mascarpone cheese does actually contain about the same amount of calories as butter and it is not cheap either.

To reduce the cost of this dish slightly, use sweet Vermouth instead of Marsala wine and try a different kind of soft cheese instead of the Mascarpone (a soft goat cheese for example might work well).
