This baked beans recipe is very rich and flavorful. It takes a while but it is worth it. Ingredients 1 pound uncooked navy beans 1 cup chopped onion 8 ounces bacon, diced 1 2/3 cup ketchup 1/3 cup yellow mustard 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed 1/3 cup dark corn syrup 6 cups water Method Soak the beans in a work bowl with water overnight. Using a dutch oven or stock pot brown the diced bacon then add the onion. Add the ketchup, mustard, sugar, corn syrup, water and bring to a boil. Add the drained beans and bring to a boil. Simmer for at least 4-5 hours with the lid off. Salt and pepper to taste. We also added some (~1 tablespoon) paprika for color and flavor at the end.
